JEE Main 2020: Know the key points before registering

National Testing Agency is formulated recently for conducting JEE Main 2020. The students those who would like admission in NIT’s are required to appear this National level screening test. NTA conducts JEE Main exam every year. It offers admission to B-Arch, B-Tech, B-Plan, and B.E courses in India.

Only two IITs in India offers B-Arch courses for the candidates who are looking for admission through JEE main. Such students have to obtain the minimum cut off score in JEE main to attend the JEE advanced. On the other hand, they can go for JEE main paper 2, qualify it and get direct admission to NITs, SPAs, and CFTIs.

The Human Resource Development Ministry released a notification in December 2018 about JEE main Examinations. It explains the eligibility criteria of a candidate and number of attempts for JEE main from 2018 onwards. According to the notification, an eligible candidate can attend the exam two times in a year.

JEE Main 2020 – new updates

Candidates are advised to understand the following key points before registering the JEE Main 2020.

  • NTA (National Test Agency) gives the periodical updates regarding the conduct of JEE main exams.
  • The candidates can register two times for JEE main 2020.
  • The first exam will be conducted in January and the second will be in April 2020.
  • Mode of the exam is online for objective type aptitude questions and offline for drawing examination.
  • The updated Age limit will be announced at the time of exam notification
  • The registered candidates can book their exam slot in advance.
  • B-Arch students can opt both JEE paper1 and paper 2.
  • B-Arch aspirants are required to attend only paper 2 (paper 1 is not mandatory to attend)for admission to NITs, SPAs, and CFTE.
  • A valid  ID card is necessary for appearing JEE main 2020 (Aadhar card is  not mandatory)
